About

Ripped from the headlines……again!

Please join us on November 21st at Carnegie Hall as we open our season with a top-drawer production of the rarely-performed Gershwin musical Let ’Em Eat Cake. Whether or not you saw our 2017 presentation of Of Thee I Sing, all you really need to know about this madcap and blisteringly satirical sequel is that the rather doltish President Wintergreen loses re-election, does not take it well, stages a coup, brings mayhem to the White House and fires the Supreme Court.  Did we mention it was written in 1933?

But never mind all that – Let ’Em Eat Cake is wicked fun. Many consider it the most sophisticated musical comedy score the Gershwins ever wrote, and we have assembled a cast (and a chorus, and an orchestra!) that will knock your socks off. Led by MasterVoices’ stellar Artistic Director and Tony Award Winner, Ted Sperling, and featuring Tony Award nominee Bryce Pinkham (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder) and a MasterVoices favorite, Christopher Fitzgerald (Waitress), it’s a star-studded cast (and cast of characters!) you won’t want to miss!

There will only be one performance, so we’re making a night of it! The evening will begin with pre-concert cocktails at 6 pm in the Rose Museum, followed by a 7 pm performance and then dinner and dessert with the artists in the Rohatyn Room.

Tickets offered at $1,000, $1,500 and $2,500. Tables at $10,000, $15,000 and $25,000.

*$275/$2,750 of each ticket/table is non-tax deductible.
